Project Duration: 6, 9, 12 months 
 

The Miras-Moldova reporting project aims to promote the culture of Gagauzia. There is a lack of published information on the traditions of the autonomous region, and volunteers will utilize video and photo reporting to uncover insights about Moldovan ethnic minorities, focusing on the Gagauzian people. Reports on the social and cultural life of Gagauzia will be promoted both within Moldova and to the international community.

Volunteers will also inform the Gagauzian society about European integration processes and provide research support to media and local NGOs in need of information. 


Requirements and tasks for volunteers:

  • Proficiency in English and, if applicable, another relevant international language (German, French, Russian, etc.)

  • Ability to organize and host campaigns related to raise awareness of European values and culture

  • Supporting the organization of social and awareness campaigns

  • Supporting project-writing activities

  • Creation and dissemination of information materials

  • Optimism, a positive attitude and the ability to work on a team

  • Ability to provide support for other Miras Moldova activities

 

Project language: English, russian lessons are provided.
Accommodation: In host families.

Miras-Moldova works to raise awareness of the Gagauzian culture, encourage social integration of ethnic minorities into Moldovan society and to save the cultural heritage of the Moldovan population.

 

Miras-Moldova also supports families of disabled youth from surrounding communities. Volunteers from the public administration work with individuals with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, mental and learning disabilities.
