Europe Day in Comrat, organized by “Pro-Europe” Centre

On 15th of May thirst time in Gagauzia Europe Day has been celebrated, organized by “Pro-Europe” Centre with finical support of “Eastern Europe Foundation” and in partnership of General Department of Education and Sports, public association “Miras-Moldova”, and Gagauzian State Television.

The main goal of this event was to spread information about European Union, its institutions, policies, public and social programs of EU available for Moldovan cittizens. As well about relation between EU and Republick of Moldova. The local volunteers spreaded the informational boocklets and leaflets about EU and activities of Pro-Europe Center, inscribed t-shirts,pens and ballons.

In order to make this event more vivid and memorable volunteers from Europe Jan Vozar and Rostislav Rujbatsky organized photoexhibition „Europe Countries“, hand-work exhibition with products of children with disabilities.

For all guests of Comrat Concert with gagauzian artist and singers and special guests from Kishinev- moldavian rock band „Gindul-Mitei“ has been organized. The event was also attended by the head of Gagauzian Autonomy-Mihail Farmuzal, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Eropean Integration- Andrei Popov and Chairman of “Eastern Europe Foundation” Sorin Mereakre.


Miras-Moldova works to raise awareness of the Gagauzian culture, encourage social integration of ethnic minorities into Moldovan society and to save the cultural heritage of the Moldovan population.


Miras-Moldova also supports families of disabled youth from surrounding communities. Volunteers from the public administration work with individuals with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, mental and learning disabilities.
