Miras Moldova Grows Through its Teambuilding
From the 8th to the 11th of August 2016, the staff of Miras Moldova conducted a teambuilding training in its office in Comrat in order to strengthen the social mission of the NGO. The team analyzed the organization’s past projects, addressed areas in need of improvement and identified strategies to develop the organization’s capacity for a sustainable future.
The organization’s Director Olga, Program Coordinator Nadejda, Mentor Anna, American Peace Corps Volunteer Haley and the two EVS volunteers Cosma and Alvaro conducted different activities for the training.
Olga and Haley kicked off the teambuilding session with introductions: each member created a personal profile to share with the group, drew a self-portrait and acted out a cherished hobby in a game of Charades. Team members also explored individual strengths through a personality test. The group then moved on to project implementation: participants revealed motivations to work with Miras and then came together to perform a SWOT analysis and conduct a simulation game.
The SWOT analysis mapped internal and external environments of the organization that affect its ability to work in the Comrat community. Internal factors include the strengths and weaknesses of the organization; external factors are identified opportunities and threats.
After evaluating SWOT elements, the team brainstormed projects that Miras will initiate in the coming months.
Unifying the Miras team vision has illuminated a clearer path toward the organization’s objectives, both new and old.
