Monastery Marta si Maria

Thanks to the funds raised by Rachel Bloyet through the platform "Le Por Commun,” it was possible for 10 children with disabilities to travel to Marta si Maria's Monastery.

The trip started, and we were full of excitement and joy. The bus pick up the children accompanied by their mothers at Fidanjik. Two volunteers went to pick up Artur at his home – “Давай, давай!” He was waiting anxiously with his bag prepared and the same song playing over and over again. The bus was waiting for us on the road, all was ready.

Children's faces reflected the excitement and happiness for the trip. The lives of the most of the children are trips from their homes to Fidanjik, without more entertainment. The excursion meant a new experience: for many, the only opportunity to visit the Monastery, and a rest for their mothers, who usually take care of them.

We walked around, enjoyed the sun, the beautiful Monastery and took pictures. The kids were happy, playing and enjoying the trip.

The volunteers had trouble taking the children. There were not any wheelchair ramps, and we understood how difficult it is to transport the children.

When the day was over, we went back to the bus, and were exhausted but happy for the success.
