Traning Course "Laboratory of Involvement" in Armenia

Members of the Miras-Moldova team took part in International TC "Laboratory of Involvement", which took place in Tsaghkadzor Municipality from February 16th to 23rd.

The target of the meeting was to discuss and exchange experiences and practical knowledge about youth work, and increase the quality of Youth Projects through finding appropriate models of motivating youth to actively participate in a process and gain new skills. 8 countries (Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Ukraine, Portugal, Moldova and Poland) were represented by 24 youngsters, youth leaders and young active of the third sector, who, instead of simply acting as teachers, also took responsibilities as mentors to facilitate the involvement of youngsters.

The objectives defined during the Training Course were : *To promote and facilitate an approach towards building appropriate models of motivation.  *To raise understanding of the role of youth leaders in Youth Exchanges and to promote knowledge on personal and professional level in youth work and related fields.

*To facilitate reflection on the personal motivation to be a leader, self-evaluation.

*To build up creative and communication skills, support intercultural exchange, foster mutual understanding between young people from different countries.  *To work on the key competencies for active participation among youngsters.  *To use gained experience in practice, in local organizations, in international projects.

During the training course, they managed to elaborate these techniques, to develop suitable systems for youth workers that can be very useful in their work within the projects of Youth in Action Programme.

Miras-Moldova also supports families of disabled youth from surrounding communities. Volunteers from the public administration work with individuals with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, mental and learning disabilities.
